I’ve been gripped by the power of stories ever since my Mum read me Astrid Lindgren’s The Brothers Lionheart as a child. In 2012, following my studies in English Literature and American history, I got a job that I didn’t know existed: storytelling coach at The Speech Republic. Lucky me – I found a way to put that love for stories and people to work. Now 13 years and countless sessions later, there are still few things I enjoy more than solving puzzles together with my clients.

On any given evening, on my rather cluttered nightstand, you’ll find two things: some kind of psychology or neuroscience book, and a poetry collection. Every night, I read a poem out loud to my partner. Then, as I fall asleep, I read a few pages in a book that gives insight into the human psyche. I suppose this tells you that even in my slumber I’m on a quest to feel deeper and understand more. How wonderful and complicated we are, and this world is.
I love crafting that keynote speech with you that puts your vision on the map. I love strategising together on how you can nurture stakeholder relationships, or address undercurrents within your organisation. I love exploring how you can forge your own path and speak your truth whilst working under great pressure as a leader.
There’s a lot I don’t know, but I have learned one thing: that great things happen when the heart and the mind work in tandem. When you learn to harness the power of communication from that place, I think you’ll be surprised just how electrifying you can be.
